Cassette tape and transcription of interview given by Baker while identifying photographs for the Assistant Special Collections Librarian. Subjects include Baker's reminiscences of A & M (1939-1942 and 1946-1947), in particular his dance band, "Jimmie Baker and the Collegians," and his military service during World War II.

James Hollan (Jimmie) Baker (ca. 1920- ) graduated from Tulsa Oklahoma Central High School, attended the University of Tulsa (1938), the University of Arkansas (1939) where he started his band "Jimmie Baker and the Collegians," and then was recruited and moved to Oklahoma A & M (1939). In July 1942, Baker was drafted into World War II and was assigned to Special Services where he and his band entertained the troops in Germany and France.
